In fourth grade I started my period and I felt disgusted and betrayed. I wasn’t ready for my childhood to end. All the red in the world stood out to me and I couldn’t see past it. I felt as if blood was dripping through the walls seeping everywhere and having my nails painted that color repulsed me. This film is a journey back in time. I am at peace with my reality and my connection to life blood. This is a work in progress that will focus on graphic representations of life blood through the eyes of a growing girl.
